Recovering from cancer is no walk in the park . . . . But, walking in the park IS recovering from cancer.
All of Live By Living's 2020 walks and hikes are cancelled until further notice due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Stay connected, fight isolation, and reduce anxiety and depression by joining our on-line activities like mindfulness, yoga and more! Click on the "Online Events" button above for more details.
Exercise is key for cancer survivors -- feel happier, be stronger, and (at least for breast and colon cancer) live longer. Experts recommend cancer survivors get at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise weekly. And being outdoors can help fight anxiety and depression -- real risks that are unfortunately increased by the isolation required to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Even though social distancing prevents us from hiking together, we do encourage you to get outside and go for a walk or hike on your own when you can do so while practicing safe social distancing and wearing face masks.

Walks in the Park
Fit, fun, friendly, free! Our walks are paved, flat, easy, and usually a mile or less (with options to go farther). Come on out and join us! |
Day Hikes
This is where you can literally tell cancer to "Take a Hike!" We've got the Front Range covered, as well as Durango. Hikes come in 3 sizes -- easy, moderate and difficult. Starting in 2019, we'll have hikes and walks in Iowa and Illinois, too! |
Cancer to 14K
Cancer to 14K is a 12-week hiking-based conditioning program. Feel good again, and climb a mountain along the way! Climb Grays Peak or complete another 14K goal. |
